Chicago/Turabian style

Kevin, SLC Writing Tutor
This is the footnote style often used in history papers. Thus, I have a great deal of expertise.
Once again, Purdue Owl provides an excellent guide: http://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/717/01/

However, the best guide is A Manual For Writers by Kate L. Turabian. This can be found, as far as I know, at the CSU Chico Library.
